Scabiosa "Merlot Red" (Scabiosa atropurpurea)

These wine colored “Pincushion” flowers are the perfect accent flower for nearly any color scheme. I find these “Merlot Red” stems look especially stunning paired with Sunflowers. The blooms grow on long sturdy stems and the plants will stay productive all season long if harvested/deadheaded regularly.
